How to Reserve a Date/Time for Your Studio Session

Reserve your preferred session time and leave your 50% deposit during your session or studio hours.

Date and time of session request

Number of hours you would like to book

The studio service you are requesting

A staff member will call you to confirm your request and once your 50% deposit is received, your session is confirmed.

Please note that there is a two hour minimum for each studio reservation. Additional and single hours may be added to a session if there is no conflict.

ANNOUNCING!!!! The Sound Lab Youth Radio Project

What We Do
The Sound Lab Youth Radio Project is a weekly call-in variety show, run by youth aged 14-19, and will feature discussion of topics of current interest to teens and will include music, commentary and live and pre-recorded content.

After a few short hours of training participants will be prepared to execute the production and engineering of thier weekly live webcast

The TSL Radio Project is a four month project. Program Fee:$150/month

Mixing Is NOT Mastering is NOT Mixing - per say

Mastering is a form of audio post-production. It is the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to THE MASTER data storage. The master is the source from which all copies will be produced.

The quality of your master will be determined by your original vocal performance (for instance), as well as the creativity and technical expertise of your engineer.

Possible actions taken during mastering:
*Edit minor flaws.
*Apply noise reduction to eliminate hum and hiss.
*Adjust stereo width.
*Add ambience.
*Equalize audio between tracks.
*Adjust volumes.
*Dynamic expansion & compression
*Peak limit the tracks.

Hey Sound Lab, Do I Really Need to Get my Song Mixed!

We get asked this question all the time and we always answer YES. Think of it like this, you wouldn’t just put the flour, eggs, flavoring, and frosting in a big bowl with ice cream and serve it to the birthday party guests would you? Then yes, you NEED to get your stuff mixed.

The process of audio mixing happens when the multitude of recorded sounds are combined into one or more channels. During this process, the source signals' level, frequency content, dynamics and panoramic position are being adjusted and effects may be added. This NECESSARY, practical, aesthetic, and creative treatment is done in order to produce an elevated mix that is more appealing to listeners. And if you want your DJ or radio personality to play your song – YES YOU WANT TO GET YOUR SONG MIXED.

Audio mixing is imperative as part of an album or single making. The mixing stage naturally FOLLOWS the recording stage. The process is completed by a mix engineer, and often the producer, or even the artist takes part in the mixing of the recorded material.

Production - Custom and Catalog Tracks

The Sound Lab of MD production team can create tracks within a wide spectrum of musical styles, ranging from commercial jingles and narrative backing music and smooth jazz tracks to Hip Hop and R&B drum 'n' bass tracks.

To produce a custom track of an established song costs an initial setup fee, after which we will consult with you as to the instrumentation, key changes, timings etc. Thereafter, any editing, mastering and additions will be charged at an hourly rate. Typically a track can take between 2-6 hrs to perfect. Our custom and catalog tracks are produced entirely in the studio. The finished product can then be supplied in various formats.

If you wish to record your tracks to single/demo/album form, you may schedule additional studio time at the hourly rate of your studio of choice.
